MD's long road to material consolidation
MD came to SG in 2006 when she built her first kuccha structure. A corner plot, her house faced issues like flooding due to the elevated levels of adjoining roads. She made a pucca structure in 2013, with a septic tank and columns but chaddar roof. In 20146 she was able to get a loan from a CSR to construct a toilet which she repaid in 11 months, the remainder of amount required to construct the toilet was sourced through interest free loan committees. She also was able to make her roof pucca through a state scheme using alternative material, which she plans on re-using whenever she builds another floor.
