M's everyday incrementality

M came to SG in 2006. He built a simple one storeyed house then, but with foundations and a septic tank. In 2011, using a combination of savings, loan, and interest free borrowings from his employer he undertook the reconstruction of the house, with columns and a pucca roof. A mason by trade, M has paid particular attention that his house be structurally secure. He continues to work on the first floor of the house, building whenever he has a day off from work.
