Welcome! This Visual Archive brings together the objects and artefacts of research on housing undertaken as part of the Tacit Urban Research Network, a collaboration that researches urban informal processes and the tacit knowledge within them. 

To this end, in addition to formal outputs, this archive offers field notes, photographs, sketches and visualisations from worker and low-income rental housing studies conducted in the cities of Delhi, Bengaluru and Coimbatore as a way to think about what remains outside the Network’s completed knowledge outputs. What remains, in other words, tacit.
